2/26/2009  Wow, how time can get away from you! I had great intentions to
keep our website updated, but that was just not to happen. Our busy lives
sometimes take over.............. Here are a few "notes and comments" since the
last time that I wrote.

My dad, John Goolsby, is recovering from colon cancer surgery. He was
diagnosed just before Thanksgiving 2008 and spent Thanksgiving and
Christmas in ETMC in Tyler, receiving radiation and chemo. He was able to
come home after the first of the year. With momma's good cookin', he regained
alot of his strength.........strength to be able to endure the current situation,
which was the removal of the cancerous part of his colon. On February 19th,
2009 he returned to ETMC for that procedure and is currently recooperating
well. We think he even surprised his doctors as to how well he is doing. For
almost 81 years old.............he's a fighter! He should be home again soon. Please
continue to keep us all in your hearts and prayers. And thanks to so many of you
that have sent warm wishes, beautiful cards, and encouraging phone calls.

We have also added yet another grandbaby to the mix. "Gus" and Donna Gail
had their 3rd. Her name is Nikki. She joins her two big brothers and seems to be
rulling the roost.  She was a late Christmas gift. "Gus" is still in the military
and awaiting word for another deployment to Iraq.

Check out the results of Hurricane IKE on our Sandyland Highlights page. He
put a dent in us...........but we survived!!

Sacul Bluegrass Opry is still going strong. We are also proud to see more
monthly shows popping up around the area. Keep the bluegrass going!
